Mod-up

Hello everyone it’s good to be on here blogging again, today I am going to talking about my Golf mark 2 that I am about to start a huge renovation and make it better than the awesome car that left the showroom all them years ago. I will begin with a complete strip of the car everything from the insides (seats, pedals, windows) to the engine, the whole thing needs to start in pieces for you to get the job done properly. The engine is my favourite part of the project where I will take it apart clean it out probably replace the piston heads/rings, valves, gaskets etc. Then move onto the drivetrain, gearbox, axles etc. Once all the mechanics are in good order and fixed then the assembly will begin for the first test drive.

Once you have the car running well with no problems, it’s time to go and get a paint job. Luckily enough I have a couple of friends that own a paint shop, so I will be able to get a little discount there, any discount along the way is a bonus. I’m not sure what the main colour is going to be yet but I’m going dark so it will be a black or dark grey, then to get my rims to match the body work and interior. Thankfully in the build I will lower the car to where I want it to save me having to do it at a later date.  I am really excited to begin this project, I literally feel like a kid at Christmas again. But don’t get me wrong it all sounds easy on here but this is an expensive and time consuming job you wouldn’t want to go at it half hearted, trust me.
